It looks like pitcher Kyle Kendrick, 24, has the inside-edge for the Philadelphia Phillies fifth starter spot. Kendrick was dropped from the rotation in the middle of the season last year. Kendrick will battle J.A. Happ, Chan Ho Park, and Carlos Carrosco for the spot.
Too bad Kendrick can’t play left field.
